The conference was attended by nearly 200 delegates, including union presidents and vice presidents; officers in charge of accounting, human resources organization; officers monitoring and managing social insurance and health insurance policies and representatives of employees at units under TKV.
At the conference, leaders and professional staff of Social Insurance Region VIII and the Provincial Department of Home Affairs introduced and disseminated new points in the amended Law on Social Insurance and Law on Health Insurance, effective from July 1, 2025. Some notable contents include: Expanding the subjects participating in compulsory social insurance (adding the group of part-time workers, unpaid business managers...); reducing the minimum time participating in social insurance to receive pension from 20 years to 15 years...
Regarding the Law on Health Insurance, the popular content focuses on expanding the rights of participants, enhancing fairness in access to health services, promoting the application of information technology and data connection to improve the efficiency of patient service...
During the discussion, delegates raised many opinions, reflecting on the difficulties in the implementation of previous social insurance and health insurance policies, and raised many questions related to unpaid leave and social insurance contributions, procedures for receiving retirement benefits, maternity benefits, health assessment procedures for workers in toxic environments, etc.
All questions and recommendations were received and fully and satisfactorily answered by the leaders and staff of Social Insurance Region VIII and the Provincial Department of Home Affairs. Thereby, it contributed to removing difficulties in the process of implementing policies at the grassroots level; especially the new points of the Law, ensuring consistency in implementation at units under TKV.
