The Vietnamese players all showed great spirit and determination. The coaching staff also created a comfortable atmosphere to help the team relieve pressure before the crucial match, which is decisive in the race for a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup finals.

In an interview before the training session, midfielder Nguyen Hai Long shared: “I am very happy to receive words of encouragement after the match with Manchester United. But if I think about something too far away, I have not thought about it. I know where I am. My goal and the whole team's goal is the match with Malaysia. This is a key and important match. The whole team is focusing on achieving the best result in this match.”
