In the first semi-final of the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship, Thailand U19 Women were rated higher when facing Myanmar U19 Women and they did not disappoint fans on the afternoon of June 16.
Right after the opening whistle, the representative of the Golden Temple rushed forward to attack with great enthusiasm. In the 13th minute, Rasita Taobao rushed forward to receive a long pass from her teammate and finished coolly to open the score, despite the slippery field conditions due to heavy rain.
Just 5 minutes later, Nachanok dribbled from the right wing, skillfully turned the ball and then fired a dangerous shot into the far corner to increase the score to 2-0. In the 20th minute, Myanmar almost shortened the gap but the Thai goalkeeper climbed up to close the angle and save the goal.
Nachanok (3rd from right) scored a double in the first half.
In the following period, Thailand continued to dominate their opponents. In the 34th minute, Kurisara Limpawanich skillfully handled the ball on the edge of the penalty area and then beautifully shot the ball into the top corner, scoring the third goal for Thailand U19 women. Six minutes later, Nachanok brought home a penalty and made no mistake from the 11m mark to complete the double, ending the first half with a 4-0 gap for Thailand U19.
In the second half, Thailand suddenly slowed down, creating opportunities for Myanmar to organize a few dangerous attacks. However, in the 69th minute, the blue team made their opponents continue to suffer when Kurisara completed his double with a technical move that passed three defenders before finishing diagonally, raising the score to 5-0.
Myanmar U19 women tried to find an equalizer in the first half of the second half.
In the 84th minute, Myanmar thought they had scored a goal after a close-range shot, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. It wasn't until the 89th minute that the team got a consolation goal with a decisive header.
In the end, Thailand U19 women's team won 6-1, becoming the first team to reach the final. Their opponent will be determined after the second semi-final match between Vietnam U19 women's team and Indonesia U19 women's team, taking place at 6:30 p.m. today (June 16) at Thong Nhat Stadium.
