Bac Ha Commune People's Committee takes over management of Hoang A Tuong's house relic from 2026

Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 1475/QD-UBND, dated October 16, 2025, on assigning Bac Ha Commune People's Committee to manage, use, protect and promote the value of the national architectural and artistic relic of Hoang A Tuong's house. This is an important step to promote sustainable tourism development associated with the preservation of local cultural heritage.

From January 1, 2026, Hoang A Tuong's house will be under the management of Bac Ha Commune People's Committee.

According to the decision, from January 1, 2026, the People's Committee of Bac Ha commune will receive all records, documents, artifacts, land and facilities related to the relic from the Information and Tourism Development Promotion Center (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province). Bac Ha commune will directly organize the comprehensive management of the relic, collect entrance fees, implement appropriate service activities and use revenue sources in accordance with legal regulations.

The People's Committee of Bac Ha commune will continue to implement cooperation programs with the Nouvelle Aquitaine region (France) in the work of heritage restoration, conservation, exhibition and interpretation, and tourism development at the Hoang A Tuong house relic.

Relevant departments and branches such as the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Finance, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Construction, Department of Agriculture and Environment are also assigned to coordinate, guide and supervise the process of handover, management, protection and promotion of relic values.

This decision demonstrates Lao Cai province's interest in preserving historical and cultural values, while effectively exploiting the local tourism potential, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development.
