Conference to collect opinions on the draft Regulations on organization and operation of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Lawyers Association, term I

On the afternoon of October 20, Lao Cai Provincial Bar Association held a conference to collect opinions on the draft Regulations on organization and operation of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and Standing Committee of the Provincial Bar Association, term I, 2024 - 2029.

Lao Cai Provincial Lawyers Association currently has more than 1,820 members, operating in 13 branches and 3 legal consultancy centers. The quality of members is high, with equal professional qualifications. The Association always actively participates in state management and Party building, especially in areas such as law making, contributing ideas to legislative work, judicial reform, administrative reform, and providing legal advice to state agencies. These activities make practical contributions to the building of a socialist rule-of-law state. After the merger, the Association has participated in many draft laws of the National Assembly, organized to collect opinions on outlines and documents under the direction of competent authorities and provided legal advice at the request of the people, making an important contribution to the development activities of the province.

At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing opinions to the draft Regulations on the organization and operation of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Standing Committee of the Provincial Bar Association, term I, 2024 - 2029, and at the same time recommended that the Provincial People's Committee assign the Association to provide legal advice and mobile legal aid in highland communes and communes planning to "build new rural areas"; participate in developing specific local policies in resolving a number of complicated complaints under the jurisdiction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee...

In his concluding remarks at the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Bar Association oriented the key tasks of the Association in the coming time, continuing to implement the directives, resolutions and conclusions of the Central and local governments on strengthening the leadership of the Party Committee over the activities of the Bar Association; doing well the work of merging and streamlining the apparatus of the Bar Association under the guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province.

Lawyer Nguyen Huy Cuong - Chairman of the Provincial Bar Association, term I, 2024 - 2029, delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

Focus on consolidating the new apparatus to operate stably in accordance with the spirit and instruction No. 31/HD-HLGVN dated April 23, 2025 of the Central Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association on the establishment of corresponding Party organizations and the arrangement of the apparatus of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; provincial and communal-level mass organizations and instructions in Document No. 146/CV-HLGVN dated June 24, 2025 of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; in which focus on consolidating and establishing new commune-level lawyers' associations when meeting all necessary conditions, initially piloting in urban centers and some localities with sufficient conditions to establish lawyers' associations...
