Accordingly, after completing the upgrade, Vinh International Airport will deploy a biometric technology solution to serve passengers throughout the entire aviation check-in process, including: buying tickets, checking in, security checking and boarding the plane.

Passengers will use electronic identification via the VNeID application or through the airport identification system to pass through control gates, except in cases where other valid identification documents are used as prescribed.

From December 1, 2025, Vinh airport will only check-in at the counter for passengers with checked baggage and special passengers. The remaining passengers will complete the entire process through the biometric system. The implementation aims to improve service efficiency, reduce waiting time and enhance accuracy and security in the passenger authentication process.

Vinh International Airport also organizes extensive communication, guidance, support, leadership, and forming habits for people to access and use this service.
