Uong Bi: Focus on Party development in residential areas

Developing party members plays an important role in Party building. Therefore, in recent years, the Uong Bi City Party Committee has focused on implementing many solutions to create sources, discover, nurture, and attract outstanding people in villages and neighborhoods to strive to join the Party.

After graduating from high school, Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai, Secretary of the Youth Union of Zone 5, Bac Son Ward, Uong Bi City, has been involved in youth union activities in the locality. As an active and enthusiastic young person, Mai always promotes the spirit of youth vanguard, takes the lead in movements, and is responsible in carrying out assigned tasks. With her constant efforts, on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, May 19 (1890-2024), Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai was honored to be admitted into the Party.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai shared: I am very proud to be the youngest party member in the cell. In addition to my own efforts, endeavors, and endeavors, I always receive guidance and attention from the neighborhood party cell. Promoting my role as an exemplary person, I will promote, mobilize, and effectively implement emulation movements so that the youth union members in the area are worthy of being the vanguard force. At the same time, I will continue to contribute to local activities.

Mr. Tien Thanh Son, Standing Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Bac Son Ward (Uong Bi City) said: Based on the resolution of the City Party Committee, from the beginning of the year, the Party Committee of Bac Son Ward has developed a specific plan, assigned targets to each Party cell to discover, nurture, and support outstanding masses to strive to join the Party. Identifying that the youth union members will be the core force in the Party development work in residential areas, the Party Committee assigned tasks to organizations in the area to focus on developing party members among youth union members, creating useful playgrounds, and an environment for training and challenging activities . At the same time, grasp the number of elite masses who are demobilized soldiers, young people developing the local economy , and local labor forces working in enterprises to expand the target of creating sources for Party development. The ward has completed 100% of the target of admitting Party members in 2024 as of September 2 with 15 Party members in residential areas.

To nurture the "seeds" for the Party, the Uong Bi City Party Committee has directed the branches and grassroots Party committees to develop resolutions, programs, and plans on Party member development, and directed organizations to participate in training and creating sources. Party committees at all levels have a firm grasp of the source candidates, such as soldiers who have completed their military service, students studying and working locally, etc. Strengthen awareness training through political activities and training classes to orient young people with the right motivation to strive to join the Party; focus on propaganda and education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle.

Based on the actual situation in the locality, Party committees at all levels have sought solutions to create sources for developing Party members suitable to local realities; given specific instructions from building plans to develop Party members at the grassroots level, to creating sources, fostering awareness, assigning tasks for training and testing; assigning Party committee members to be in charge of Party member development work, and assigning Party members to help Party sympathizers.

Simultaneously , Local organizations innovate their methods of operation, build economic development models, create conditions for elite people to participate in political and social organizations to promote their capacity, thereby discovering positive factors, achievements, and exemplary ones to foster and recruit into the Party. Uong Bi City Party Committee also proactively organizes the recruitment of new Party members in batches, closely linked to holidays, avoiding spreading out to create a concentrated implementation process to continuously supplement the Party with new vitality.

The implementation of solutions associated with local practical conditions has created positive changes in Party development work in villages and residential areas in Uong Bi City. Since the beginning of the year, the Uong Bi City Party Committee has admitted 295 Party members in villages and residential areas, reaching 102% of the assigned plan, ensuring continuous succession and development, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations.
