The Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Dong Anh, Hanoi became the focal point of the industry from November 11 to 15, when the Vietnam Industry and Technology Week 2025 took place on the largest scale ever. For the first time, the most important industrial exhibitions including VIIF (Vietnam International Industrial Fair), CMES, Vietbuild, Cafe Show and Vietnam Door Association Exhibition converged on an exhibition area of 80,000 m2 , gathering nearly 750 booths and hundreds of domestic and international enterprises. This created an unprecedented seamless exhibition and trading ecosystem.
Attracted more than 70,000 visitors
The large VEC space and the hall-based structure allow each exhibition to showcase its full organizational capabilities: from industrial robots, CNC machines, lifting equipment, construction materials to smart factory models. Bulky equipment that was difficult to bring into old exhibition centers is now displayed indoors and outdoors, giving businesses a great advantage in introducing giant industrial machines.

For many visitors, walking through each hall feels like walking through a chapter in a shifting industrial landscape.
The change in space and the upgrade in scale of the organization immediately reflected in the number of attendees. The week welcomed more than 70,000 visitors. This is a rare growth rate for an event in the industrial sector. The stream of visitors ranged from mechanical, material, manufacturing, energy production enterprises, to groups of engineers, technical experts and international groups from Japan, Korea, Germany, Singapore or China.
Many businesses claim to have “met the right people” and facilitated rapid trade when the entire relevant supply chain is present in the same location.
Bustling trade, surpassing 600 billion VND mark
Inside each exhibition area, business matching activities took place almost continuously. The CMES Hall - where robots, machine tools and automation technology converge - was the most vibrant spot. This area attracted more than 1,200 professional domestic and international buyers. This is considered the largest density of buyers ever recorded at a machine tool exhibition in Vietnam within a decade. The business atmosphere was bustling, especially around major brands that demonstrated live technology such as FANUC, where a calligraphy robot attracted everyone's attention.

Meanwhile, VIIF, an exhibition with a history of more than 30 years, has organized 126 business-to-business networking sessions under the B2B model. The closed, pre-prepared networking sessions have helped many industrial enterprises find suitable partners in a short time. The combination of open networking in the exhibition hall and in-depth networking behind the scenes has helped VIIF create a substantial amount of transactions, not just stopping at information exchange.

The total transaction value of the entire Week is estimated at nearly 600 billion VND. Of which, Vietbuild leads with a total contract value signed at the event reaching 360 billion VND. VIIF recorded 8.6 million USD (equivalent to 215 billion VND) of signed contracts and an additional 62 million USD (about 1,550 billion VND) in the negotiation process. Enterprises in the fields of robots - automation, lifting equipment and new materials at CMES and the Door Association also reported a large number of transactions, directly at VEC.
Railway Industry Strategy Forum
The in-depth value of Industry & Technology Week 2025 also lies in the strategic forums and specialized seminars taking place in parallel.
The highlight is the first International Exhibition on Modern Railway Technology and Infrastructure Construction Supply Chain in Vietnam (VRT & CONS 2025). This event goes beyond the framework of an exhibition displaying terminal technology (such as trains, TBMs), to become a "strategic forum", as stated in the opening speech of Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy.

Participating in the forum, international and Vietnamese experts discussed fundamental issues for the future of the industry: from PPP models, TOD, land exploitation, to risk sharing mechanisms and technology transfer. This openness in dialogue was highly appreciated by international partners.

"We are very interested in connecting with local partners, especially on the North-South high-speed railway project in Vietnam. We see great potential for cooperation and Vietnam's railways are very promising. This industry is growing rapidly and shows a lot of potential," said Mr. Marvin Windolf, from DB Engineering & Consulting (Germany), one of the leading consulting groups in Europe.
The forum's substance was also reflected in the "Business Matching" area and the signing of a series of memoranda of understanding (MOUs) on developing the railway industry supply chain and technology transfer, showing the shortening of the gap from policy ideas to concrete cooperation.
Refreshing specialized exhibitions
In addition to the trade activities and large-scale forums, this year’s Week also created new slices of industrial experience. At CMES, robotic arms demonstrated meticulous movements, simulated assembly and precise operations, making many visitors feel for the first time the “softness” of new-generation automation. At Vietbuild, a series of green materials, fast construction solutions, and energy-saving equipment showed a change in urban construction thinking.

At Cafe Show Industrial, the aroma of roasted coffee next to beverage booths creates a space that is both technical and light-hearted, a rare experience in traditional industrial events.
Meanwhile, at VIIF 2025, Vietnamese enterprises have the opportunity to meet and discuss the possibility of filling gaps in their production and distribution chains, in order to increase the localization rate, thereby enhancing the national industrial position.
The figures from the Week show that the development potential of Vietnam's industry is still very open, needing more environments for businesses to introduce products and services as well as connect deeply with partners. It is expected that VIIF 2026 under the 2nd Vietnam Industry & Technology Week will be held from September 9-11, 2026, on a larger scale, with the participation of more industrial exhibition brands in the world and global businesses, contributing to promoting strong economic development in Vietnam in the near future.
