The prestige and position of our Party are increasingly enhanced.

Since its inception, along with leading the army and people of the whole country to bravely and steadfastly fight for national independence and advance towards building socialism, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always carried out a good foreign policy, regularly maintaining relations with more than 100 communist and workers' parties around the world.

In 2015, our Party organized the 18th meeting of more than 100 delegates representing international communist and workers' parties in Hanoi. Through that friendly meeting, our Party saw positive steps forward in developing and expanding international relations. Thanks to that, many parties have strived to gain important positions and roles in the political and social life of other countries. In recent years, our Party has regularly sent leaders to visit and exchange experiences in Party building, in organizing and developing policies and practical and effective solutions to successfully implement the set tasks. On the other hand, many communist parties in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, etc. have also continuously sent leaders to visit and exchange and learn from the leadership experience of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Since then, many international communist and workers' parties have highly appreciated the historic achievements in the two resistance wars to save the country, regain independence for the country as well as the cause of innovation that the Vietnamese people have achieved.
At the workshop with the theme "The Communist Party of Vietnam through 90 years of establishment and international solidarity" organized by the Canada - Vietnam Friendship Society (CVFS) in Toronto in February 2020, Mr. Philip Famandez, member of CVFS, member of the Communist Party of Canada emphasized: "Vietnam's prestige and high position in the international arena have truly reflected the political and ideological strength of the Communist Party of Vietnam as well as the Party's ingenious ability to find revolutionary directions and paths in the current complex international situation, together with the participation of the People, to outline an agenda to build a modern Vietnam. A prominent advantage of the Communist Party of Vietnam is the ability to creatively apply the principles of Marxism - Leninism - Ho Chi Minh Thought to the specific conditions of the Vietnamese revolution, which was also clearly demonstrated when Vietnam was elected a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020-2021 term. with an almost absolute majority of votes".
At the same time, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Argentina Víctor Gorodeki Kot once affirmed that in the 20th century and the first decades of the 21st century, the Communist Party of Vietnam created great encouragement for the formation of the international communist movement, for the struggle of communists and revolutionaries as well as for human history. He also believed that, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, it would continue to successfully implement the country's development strategies, as well as achieve many new achievements in the cause of renovation and socialism building.
It can be affirmed that in recent years, the prestige and position of the Communist Party of Vietnam have been increasingly affirmed and raised to new heights. Most parties and countries in the world respect Vietnam's political system. In recent years, our Party has boldly organized 45 visits and phone calls by key leaders to neighboring countries, strategic partners, ASEAN countries, and friendly countries. On the other hand, Vietnam has also welcomed nearly 50 visits from other countries to Vietnam. Notably, in 2017, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping chose Vietnam as the first foreign destination after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In 2022, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was the first foreign leader to visit China after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. This year, commemorating the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping visited Vietnam. This is also the third mutual visit between the two General Secretaries of the two Parties; that further affirms the special friendship between Vietnam and China as well as the high regard that both sides attach to the relationship between the two parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China, aiming to bring the relationship between the two parties and the two countries to a new height. That is also clearly shown in the Joint Statement of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the People's Republic of China on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic partnership, building a community of shared future between Vietnam and China, which has strategic significance and is an important historical decision of the leaders of the two parties and the two countries; an important political achievement that both sides have achieved, the pinnacle and inevitable choice after 15 years of implementing the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Along with that, US President Joe Biden's visit to Vietnam has truly created a new qualitative step in foreign affairs and international integration.
One of the vivid evidences showing the prestige and position of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the international arena is that after the 13th National Party Congress, it received more than 360 congratulatory letters and telegrams from many countries, heads of state, governments and international organizations - a number compared to previous congresses. Every year, on the occasion of the Party's founding anniversary (February 3), countries, communist parties, international organizations... all send congratulatory telegrams. Most international friends highly appreciate the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the struggle for national independence, especially the great and historic achievements in the renovation process as well as the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
