The pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members in protecting the Party's ideological foundation

Protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints is the task of the entire political system and all classes of people; in which the contingent of cadres and Party members is one of the vanguard and core forces.

Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW (dated October 22, 2018) of the Politburo determined that protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints is a voluntary and regular task of Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels; of each locality, agency and unit; cadres and Party members, first of all the leaders, based on the theoretical foundation of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought. Cadres and Party members must participate in protecting the ideological foundation through their practical action plans. Accordingly, first of all, all cadres and Party members must do their best in their assigned tasks, strictly comply with the law, and fully implement the Party's resolutions to create a healthy and developing society. When people have absolute trust in the Party, there is no room for hostile forces to interfere and sabotage...

In close adherence to Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW, the Party Committees and authorities at all levels of Quang Ninh province actively led, directed, thoroughly grasped and disseminated tasks to cadres, party members, association members and the masses. In particular, local and grassroots party committees and branches strictly implemented the province's resolutions and directives to raise awareness of studying and improving political theory, revolutionary ideals, and cultivating moral and lifestyle. Thereby, all cadres and party members were deeply aware of the dangers that directly threaten the prestige and leadership role of the Party and the survival of the regime; correctly identified the manifestations and proposed appropriate solutions to effectively fight, prevent and repel the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party; and confidently fought directly against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

Party committees at all levels regularly educate and train party members, constantly improve the working class nature and exemplary vanguard nature of the Party; make each party member clearly aware of the plots of imperialists and reactionary, hostile forces that sabotage the Vietnamese revolution, without confusing us - the enemy, friends - enemies... At the same time, the province strengthens the role of cadres, party members, and reporters in providing Party-oriented information to cadres, party members, and people, especially on important, complex, and sensitive issues.

Ms. Pham Thi Minh Nguyet, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Hong Ha Ward (Ha Long City), said: Promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially leaders at all levels, in the fight against the wrong views of hostile forces is very important. Therefore, the Party Committee of the ward seriously and regularly carries out the work of training to improve the capacity, knowledge and awareness of the team of neighborhood cadres. Along with the monthly meetings with the team of neighborhood cadres, exchanging information about the neighborhood situation via zalo groups, the ward organizes regular training and guidance on digital transformation and the use of social networks for the team of neighborhood cadres to grasp and respond quickly to fake and untrue news on cyberspace, promptly orienting public opinion. In addition, mobilizing the strong participation of the team of young party members who are young union members and teachers of schools, to jointly prevent bad and toxic information and spread positive information.

To suit the local situation and the intellectual level of the people at the grassroots level, many grassroots leaders and managers have been flexible, creative, and innovative in their propaganda content on the Party's guidelines and policies. The team of commune-level cadres, Party cell secretaries - village (hamlet, neighborhood) heads proactively produced and edited propaganda content on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the awareness of respecting local cultural and historical traditions, mobilizing people to raise their awareness and responsibility for building a rich and civilized homeland; at the same time, resolutely fight against activities that sabotage the government, spread false rumors about the activities of the grassroots government, distort and defame the reputation and honor of leaders and managers. Thanks to that, it has spread widely, helping people to be aware of protecting the achievements that the locality has achieved in socio-economic development.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoanh Mo Commune (Binh Lieu District), said: As a border commune with nearly 100% ethnic minorities, the Party Committee of the commune closely coordinates with the police force, border guards, and militia; assigns party members to be in charge of the area, promoting the role of prestigious people to proactively do a good job of grasping the grassroots. From being close to the people, party members promote propaganda, the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies; at the same time, grasp the ideological situation, emerging issues, conflicts, and concerns in people's lives to promptly inform and advise party committees and authorities on quick and timely solutions, not allowing conflicts to accumulate and become "hot spots", not creating opportunities for bad elements to take advantage, contributing to maintaining border security.

Protecting the Party's ideological foundation is a difficult, complicated and long-term task. Fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints is the responsibility of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people; in which cadres and Party members are important factors and core forces contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
