Van Don: Striving to complete the grassroots congress soon

Van Don district strives to complete 100% of branch congresses and grassroots party committees for the 2025-2030 term before May 30, 2025, one month ahead of the province and district's plan. These days, the entire district is focusing on preparations, ensuring that the branch congresses and grassroots party committees are truly festivals and extensive political activities of the Party Committee, government and people in the area.

Implementing Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo "On Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress", by the end of January 2025, Van Don District Party Committee had directed the successful organization of 100% of Party cell congresses under grassroots Party Committees, 1 month earlier than the prescribed time. Immediately after completing the congresses of affiliated Party cells, the District Party Committee focused on directing the organization of grassroots Party Congresses for the 2025-2030 term. The grassroots Party cells and Party Committees have been very active, with a spirit of urgency, method, quality and in accordance with Party regulations.

As one of the key areas of the district, with many large-scale infrastructure projects, Ha Long commune aims to become a type III urban area in the coming term. This goal has been specified in the draft Political Report to be submitted to the upcoming Congress with many breakthroughs.

Ms. Truong Thi Hien, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Long Commune, said: The development orientation of Van Don in the next term as well as the draft Political Report will become a city before 2030. Ha Long Commune is the central and key area of the district, so in the development orientation, we are determined to build Ha Long Commune into a type III urban area. Economic development will focus on key areas such as service tourism, agriculture, forestry and fisheries. Those major orientations and policies have been specified by the Standing Committee and the Party Committee of the Commune in the draft Political Report submitted to the 14th Commune Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The focus of the consultation was on the structure of the Report, the Congress theme, the Congress motto and the general and breakthrough goals for the coming term. The form of consultation was widely implemented through Party cell meetings, conferences and meetings of socio-political organizations; information was widely posted to solicit opinions.

Accordingly, the development orientation of the commune in the coming time is an issue that cadres, party members, and people are very interested in, contributing opinions, demonstrating their responsibility to the locality. I hope that Ha Long commune will reach the finish line of new rural areas, model and smart new rural areas, and people will increasingly have a prosperous and happy life.

Along with document preparation, personnel work is receiving special attention from branches and grassroots Party committees. The goal is to strive to complete 100% of the branch and grassroots party committee congresses before May 30, 2025, 1 month ahead of the general plan of the province and district.

Secretary of the District Party Committee Truong Manh Hung said: The District Party Committee has assigned members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to be in charge of each locality, closely following the branches and affiliated Party Committees to urge and inspect the progress of work. At the same time, he directed the branches and grassroots Party Committees to focus on completing the contents of the congress preparation work on schedule, ensuring the contents of the congress according to regulations. Including completing the congress documents, personnel plans to ensure quality, objectivity and honesty; performing well the internal political protection work, having plans to ensure absolute security and safety before, during and after the congress. The successful branch and grassroots Party Committee congresses are an important premise for Van Don to successfully organize the 25th District Party Congress, term 2025-2030 with many major goals set out.
