Accordingly, Cai Lon sluice (An Bien and Binh An communes, An Giang province) will be flexibly operated to close from 5, 7 to 9 gates/11 sluice gates. Waterway traffic on Cai Lon river will be restricted during the following time frames: from 0:00 to 8:30 on September 24; from 0:00 to 9:30 on September 25; from 0:00 to 10:30 on September 26 and 27.
Cai Be sluice (Binh An commune, An Giang province) will completely close both 2/2 gates, closing simultaneously and opening 60 minutes after opening Cai Lon sluice gate. During this time, water vehicles will be regulated through the lock. Particularly at Xeo Ro sluice on Tan Bang Can Gao canal, the opening and closing will depend on the situation.
In order to ensure safety for sluice gate operations, the Southern Maritime and Waterways Department has announced the restriction of inland waterway traffic on Cai Lon River, Cai Be River and Tan Bang Can Gao Canal to close sluice gates and divert traffic, regulate and guide watercraft through Cai Lon, Cai Be and Xeo Ro sluice gates.
