Gold reversed to increase slightly
SJC gold reversed and increased slightly, bringing the price to 80.32 million VND/tael, while world gold prices recorded a decrease at the end of the week.
At the time of survey at 5:00 a.m. on March 24, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was as follows:
DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 78.10 million VND/tael for buying and 80.10 million VND/tael for selling.

At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey listed the price of SJC gold at 78.60 - 79.80 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 78.05 - 79.95 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 78.05 - 80.15 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
The world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,165.310 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank , the world gold price is about 63.945 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees).
USD exchange rate rises to 3-week high
USD exchange rate today March 24, VCB USD continues to be at parity, meanwhile, world USD recorded an increase to the highest level in 3 weeks.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank today is adjusted to 24,003 VND/USD, up 4 VND compared to the trading session on March 22.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for transactions by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,153 VND/USD.
In global markets, the US Dollar Index rose to a three-week high of around 104.4 points on the closing day of the trading week and is expected to rise for a second consecutive week, underpinned by bets that other major central banks may start cutting interest rates sooner than the US Federal Reserve (FED).
Japanese Yen exchange rate tends to decrease at the end of the week
Today's Japanese Yen exchange rate surveyed on the morning of March 24 at banks, specifically as follows:
At Vietcombank , the Vietcombank Japanese Yen exchange rate is 158.70 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 167.97 VND/JPY, down 0.71 VND on the buying side and down 0.76 VND on the selling side.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.34 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 159.4 VND/JPY and 169.1 VND/JPY.
At BIDV Bank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.51 VND in buying and 0.56 VND in selling, reaching 159.3 VND/JPY and 167.8 VND/JPY, respectively.
At Agribank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate for buying and selling is 159.61 VND/JPY and 167.69 VND/JPY - down 1.11 VND for buying and down 1.2 VND for selling.
At Eximbank, the buying price decreased by 0.56 VND and the selling price decreased by 0.58 VND, respectively at 161.06 VND/JPY and 165.75 VND/JPY.
At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.41 VND at buying and 0.4 VND at selling with prices of 156.0 VND/JPY and 169.41 VND/JPY, respectively.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.6 VND in the buying and selling directions, corresponding to the prices of 161.44 VND/JPY and 166.51 VND/JPY.
Domestic coffee prices remain high
Domestic coffee prices were updated at 5:17 a.m. on March 24, down slightly by VND200/kg but still at a high level. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is VND94,900/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is VND95,000/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is quite high at 94,800 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 95,000 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 94,400 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak province; in Cu M'gar district, coffee is purchased at about 94,800 VND to 94,900 VND/kg./.
