According to a private source of VietNamNet reporter, at 9:20 a.m. on May 31, the patrol team of the Road Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department of Tuyen Quang Province Police discovered a car with license plate 20A-144.XX violating the speed limit of 59/50 km/h on National Highway 2 (section through Yen Son district).

The patrol team signaled the car to stop for inspection, however the driver did not comply and continued to accelerate and flee for more than 1km.

After stopping the vehicle, the traffic police asked the driver to get out of the car and show his papers. However, the driver reversed the car, turned around and fled towards Phu Tho province.

The traffic police team used patrol cars to chase the driver to Phu Tho province, and at the same time requested the traffic police force of Phu Tho province to stop the driver. When reaching Doan Hung bridge, when being stopped by the functional forces, the driver continued to turn the car and run towards Tuyen Quang province. The driver drove the car to the barrier area of ​​the Z129 factory (Doi Binh commune, Yen Son district) and was locked by the traffic police force's car from behind, unable to move.

The driver continued to barricade himself in the car. After a long period of persuasion by the authorities, the driver agreed to get out of the car and show his documents.

Police identified the driver of the car as Mr. LHP (born in 1989, residing in Chiem Hoa, Tuyen Quang province).

Speaking to the police, driver P. said he was speeding because he was taking his family to Noi Bai airport. He ran away because he was afraid of having his documents confiscated.

The working group drew up a record of the incident and an administrative violation record with the driver LHP for the following acts: Driving the vehicle 5-10km/h over the speed limit and not obeying the orders of the traffic controller.

The Traffic Police Department of Tuyen Quang Province Police is coordinating with the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Son District Police to investigate and clarify the act of resisting law enforcement officers and disturbing public order.

Yen Son district police are continuing to verify and clarify.
