According to reporters, in Hai Duong city and some neighboring districts, fog appeared from early morning until about 8:30.
From about 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on May 28 and 29, people going outside or on the road saw thick fog in the air, reducing visibility on the ground.
Deputy Director of the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station Nguyen Thi Lan Huong said that on May 25, the weather in Hai Duong area had a cold air mass in the middle of summer, the lowest temperature was only 21 - 23 degrees Celsius. This phenomenon was caused by the formation of continental high pressure moving down to the North Central region of our country.
On May 28, the cold air mass began to retreat northward, while the warm air mass from the west also developed eastward. The conflict between these two air masses caused morning fog accompanied by light rain and drizzle.

Normally, fog only appears from February to early April every year. Cold air usually ends at the end of March to early April. Therefore, the appearance of cold air and fog in the middle of summer is a special and rare phenomenon.
Fog limits visibility for road users. Weather changes cause high humidity, causing discomfort and affecting the respiratory system of many people. This weather can also cause fungi and bacteria to cause diseases on crops and vegetables.
Fog is forecast to continue on the morning of May 30.
