On December 15, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Binh province, said that the unit is developing a plan to handle the case of incorrect IT exam questions in the 9th grade gifted student exam.
Question 3 in the IT exam for excellent students in grade 9 in Quang Binh
On December 5, Quang Binh province held an excellent student exam for grades 9 and 12 with more than 1,800 students participating. For grade 9 information technology, 80 students participated; of which, 3 students scored 10 and 2 students scored 9.
The test has a total of 4 questions with a time limit of 150 minutes. Notably, many teachers said that question number 3 was wrong.
Speaking to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hai confirmed that there was a mistake in the question making process. After discovering the wrong question, this question was given the maximum score for all candidates, which resulted in a case where even though the question was wrong, some candidates still got 10 points.
When Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters contacted to learn more about the progress of the handling, Mr. Dang Ngoc Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Binh province, briefly said that the handling would be done according to regulations to ensure the rights of students.
"If someone violates, we will deal with them, it's nothing special. We have to ensure the rights of students, everything must follow the regulations," said Mr. Tuan.
