On the evening of August 17,SHB Da Nang drew 1-1 with Dong A Thanh Hoa in the opening match of round 1 of V-League season 2025-2026.

The away team got the opening goal thanks to foreign player Henen David in the 62nd minute. However, that advantage was equalized just 3 minutes later.

Ngoc My scored the equalizer for Dong A Thanh Hoa. Starting from an uncomfortable hanging ball, goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung ( Da Nang ) rushed out and punched the ball inaccurately, creating an opportunity for Ngoc My to easily head the ball into an empty net.

However, Bui Tien Dung's overall performance was commendable, he commanded the Han River team's defense to play quite disciplined and only conceded defeat at one moment.
