[Video] Forecast of benchmark scores of mid-ranking universities to drop sharply

According to the analysis of the 2025 high school graduation exam score distribution, many experts predict that the admission scores for universities in the "middle" group will decrease significantly compared to last year, especially in traditional admission combinations such as A00, B00, D01.

The B00 group (Math – Chemistry – Biology) recorded the lowest average score in many years. Of which, Biology only achieved an average of 5.78 points, down 0.5 points compared to 2024. This leads to the possibility of a sharp decrease in the benchmark scores in the fields of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing – which are largely dependent on the B00 group. Some schools expect the benchmark scores to decrease by 1.5 to 3 points, even lower than last year's floor score (19–22.5 points).

Similarly, the combination of A00 (Math – Physics – Chemistry) and D01 (Math – Literature – English) also tends to decrease by 1-2 points, directly affecting schools with average recruitment levels and not in the “hot” major group. Meanwhile, social combinations such as C00 (Literature – History – Geography) remain stable, with little fluctuation in benchmark scores.

Top universities still maintain stable enrollment sources, so there are few major changes. However, the group of mid-ranked universities is opening up great opportunities for candidates with good scores. Adjusting your wishes appropriately and promptly will help candidates increase their chances of being admitted in this year's university entrance exam.
