[Video] The Court sector aims to serve the people, protect justice, and serve the Fatherland.

On the afternoon of October 20, at the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri presented a report on the work of the 2021-2026 term. In the context of many fluctuations in the world and in the country, the Court sector has strived to fulfill its tasks well, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order and safety.

From July 1, 2025, the Court system will implement a 3-level organizational model: Supreme People's Court , Provincial Court and Regional Court.

During the term, the entire sector handled more than 2.75 million cases, with a settlement rate of over 97.6%. Of which, criminal cases achieved a settlement rate of nearly 100%, civil cases reached over 97%. The Supreme People's Court presided over the drafting and submission to the National Assembly for approval of many draft laws, promulgated precedents, and strengthened the unified application of the law. Training, fostering, inspection, and supervision were focused on; discipline and order in the performance of public duties were strengthened. Judicial reform and digital transformation were promoted, aiming to build a fair and transparent judiciary, facilitating people's access to justice.

Besides the results achieved, the report also pointed out some limitations such as the staffing is not commensurate with the workload, there are still judgments being revised or annulled due to subjective reasons, and the facilities in some places are still lacking.

In the coming time, the Court sector will continue to firmly pursue the goal of building a strict and upright judiciary, serving the Fatherland and the people; improving the quality of trials, promoting reconciliation, dialogue, and transparency in judicial activities.
