Vietnam has a private university that has achieved international accreditation from ASIIN Europe.

(NLDO) - Currently, the whole country has only 2 universities that have achieved international accreditation by ASIIN Europe, at the educational institution level.

On the evening of April 11, Hoa Sen University announced that it had just achievedinstitutional accreditation according to the European ASIIN international standards. Notably, this is also the first private university in Vietnam to achieve this accreditation.

To date, Vietnam has only two universities that have achieved this accreditation at the educational institution level, including: International University (VNU-HCM) recognized since December 2024 and Hoa Sen University recognized on April 10, 2025.

Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam, Vice Principal of the school, said that achieving ASIIN accreditation at the educational institution level has affirmed the international reputation of the school's overall goals, policies and quality assurance system, training programs, resources (facilities, information technology, library, teaching staff, etc.), document system and transparency.

"This is a big step forward in the journey to reach international standards, contributing to helping Hoa Sen University expand its cooperative relationship with leading prestigious universities in Europe, attracting partners, international students and businesses to cooperate in training and recruitment" - Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam affirmed.

In addition, accreditation has contributed to creating a launching pad, creating conditions for students to have more opportunities to receive international scholarships and participate in international exchange programs. In particular, the training credits at the school are also recognized by universities in Europe.

Previously, Hoa Sen University achieved ACBSP accreditation (USA) for 5 training programs, AUN-QA assessment (Southeast Asia) for 12 training programs; FIBAA accreditation (Switzerland) for 3 training programs and NEAS (Australia) for the international communication English program, etc.

ASIIN is a German educational quality accreditation organization, established in 1999. To date, ASIIN has accredited more than 6,500 study programs in nearly 70 countries. This accreditation was recognized to operate in Vietnam from June 16, 2021, according to Decision No. 1941/QD-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training .
