President Miguel Díaz Canel-Bermudez affirmed that Cuba wishes and is determined to continue strengthening the solidarity and fraternal cooperation between the Party, State and people of Vietnam and Cuba.
Recently, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long presented his credentials to President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz Canel-Bermudez at the Palace of the Revolution. Also attending the event was Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba Gerardo Peñalver Portal.
At the reception, President Miguel Díaz Canel-Bermudez conveyed his warm greetings to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong,President To Lam and senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam.
Once again thanking Vietnam for its solidarity and valuable support for Cuba both bilaterally and multilaterally, President Miguel Díaz Canel-Bermudez affirmed that Cuba wishes and is determined to continue strengthening the solidarity and fraternal cooperation between the Parties, States and peoples of the two countries in order to continue the historical and traditional relationship that was cultivated by the two countries' revolutionary leaders, President Fidel Castro, General Raul Castro and President Ho Chi Minh .
On this occasion, President Miguel Díaz Canel-Bermudez congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and emphasized that the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to coordinate with the Vietnamese side to prepare a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic relations in 2025 in each country.
Ambassador Le Quang Long respectfully conveyed greetings and best wishes from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President To Lam and other senior leaders of the Party and State to First Secretary and President Miguel Díaz Canel and other senior leaders of the Cuban Party and State.
The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam always remembers and is grateful to Cuba for its great spiritual and material support for Vietnam in the past; consistently supports the Cuban people's just revolutionary cause; attaches importance to consolidating, constantly deepening and further expanding the relationship of brotherly solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and mutual trust.
