According to a VNA reporter in Laos, on the afternoon of November 20 in the capital Vientiane, a delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense led by Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, paid a courtesy visit to the Lao Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Khamliang Outhakaysone.
At the reception, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang respectfully thanked the Lao Minister of Defense for taking the time to welcome the delegation in the context that Laos is actively preparing for many important events of the country.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang conveyed the warm regards of Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, to Senior Lieutenant General Khamliang Outhakaysone; affirming that the Vietnam-Laos relationship is a "loyal and pure" relationship, built with the blood and sweat of many generations who have always stood side by side, sharing joys and sorrows in the struggle for independence as well as in building and defending the Fatherland.
This is a priceless asset that the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries have the responsibility to preserve, protect and continue to promote.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang emphasized that the Vietnam People's Army will always provide the highest support to help Laos successfully organize the rally, parade, and march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Laos' National Day (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025).
This is not only technical, human resource or experience support, but also demonstrates the deep affection and special solidarity between the two peoples.
Vietnam has always been proud to stand with Laos during important historical moments and its contribution to the successful organization of the 50th Anniversary of Laos National Day is vivid proof of that.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang also said that 2025 will be a year of many important events for the two countries. The Senior Lieutenant General thanked the Lao Ministry of National Defense for sending the Lao People's Army to participate in the parade and march at two important events in Vietnam.
Such active participation contributed significantly to the success of the events and clearly demonstrated the spirit of close cooperation between the two armies.
According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Truong Thang, in the coming time, the two sides need to continue to coordinate more closely in propaganda and education on traditions, especially towards the young generation - those who will continue and build the Vietnam-Laos relationship to be forever green and everlasting.

For his part, Senior Lieutenant General Khamliang Outhakaysone highly appreciated the visit and working session of the Vietnamese Defense Ministry delegation, saying that the visit contributed significantly to strengthening the defense relationship between the two countries, one of the solid pillars of the Laos-Vietnam relationship.
