Singer Phuong Thanh, the bands Ngu Cung, Mun Go, Ciggarats and dancers from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will perform in the music night "Rock-Stone Spirit."
The program is open to the public for free, taking place on December 6 in Lung Tam commune ( Tuyen Quang ), within the framework of the 2025 Buckwheat Festival with the theme "Blooming Rock Land."
Sharing with the press on November 21, the program's director - Meritorious Artist Anh Tuyet said "Rock - Spirit of Rock" will tell the story of the legend of the stone plateau through music .
“I want music to resonate in the rocky valley, in the lives of the highland people. It is a blend of modern music and indigenous cultural colors,” director Anh Tuyet shared.

The program consists of two parts. Part 1 - "From Stone" tells the journey of forming life on the stone plateau, from hardships, challenges to the will to survive and develop. The Ngu Cung band, the Mun Go band and dancers will recreate the story through music and dance.
Part 2 – “Today” reflects the transformation, integration and development of the highlands, using modern musical language with the participation of Ngu Cung and the Giggarats group.
According to the Ngu Cung group, they feel the similarity between the spirit of the program and the group's current creative inspiration. Songs such as "Cẩu Vợ," "Cào Nguyên Đá" and many new compositions will be renewed with the arrangement of musician Tran Thang, promising to bring many unexpected highlights.
The program is expected to attract 1,500-2,000 audiences, including domestic and foreign tourists, young people who love travel and music, locals and the rock fan community.
Besides music, audiences can participate in a series of cultural experiences such as panpipe dancing, throwing con, weaving linen... Notably, the Rock Your Body dance competition, where street dance combines freestyle with highland cultural elements. The final round will take place right on the stage in the middle of the rocky mountain - a rare performance space.
The program contributes to promoting the image of Tuyen Quang as a vibrant, youthful, and unique destination, promoting sustainable experiential tourism in the highlands.
Mr. Lai Quoc Tinh, Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Province Tourism Association, said that the program has special meaning as rock and the spirit of the highland people have similar meeting points.
“Rock is a form of innovation, strength, freedom and the desire to overcome challenges. Highlanders, especially in the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark, have long lived in extremely harsh conditions. Their perseverance and bravery in the face of harsh nature have a strange similarity to the spirit of rock,” he said.
Mr. Tinh hopes that the show will bring the audience a complete rock experience, while helping them better understand the lives of people in border areas, where every house and every village is always associated with the responsibility of protecting the country's borders./.
