Brigade 957 mobilized nearly 300 officers and soldiers to support people in flood-affected areas.

Faced with the situation of prolonged heavy rain and rising floodwaters in many localities of Khanh Hoa province, starting from the evening of November 19, Brigade 957, Naval Region 4 urgently mobilized forces to help people respond to and overcome the consequences of floods in the communes of Cam Lam, Suoi Dau, Dien Khanh and some isolated areas.

Lieutenant Colonel Han Xuan Lam - Deputy Political Commissar of Brigade 957 presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nguyen Hai Quang, Tan Suong 2 village, Suoi Dau commune, who suffered damage due to floods.

Accordingly, the Brigade mobilized nearly 300 officers and soldiers along with 12 specialized cars, 300 life jackets, 100 lifebuoys and many rescue equipment to coordinate with local authorities to evacuate people from dangerous areas, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property; at the same time, transport and supply necessities to people in flooded areas.

By the afternoon of November 21, officers and soldiers of the Brigade had rescued and evacuated hundreds of people to safety; assisted in bringing two victims' bodies to the Dien Khanh Regional Medical Center; participated in cleaning schools and houses, clearing sewers and building more than 250m of temporary dykes to prevent flooding. The Brigade also presented 10 gift boxes (each worth 500,000 VND) to affected households in Suoi Dau commune. The Brigade Women's Union presented 1,400 gifts including: filtered water, milk, bread and other necessities with a total value of 21 million VND to isolated households in Dien Khanh commune and Tay Nha Trang ward.

Currently, officers and soldiers of Brigade 957 continue to carry out rescue operations, support clean-up after the flood recedes, and provide necessities to people, contributing to helping localities stabilize their lives soon.
