Khanh Hoa denies news of "Am Chua and Suoi Dau dams breaking"

On the afternoon of November 21, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police informed that they had worked with subjects posting and sharing false information on social networks.

Specifically, information such as “Am Chua dam broke”, “Suoi Dau dam broke”, or “urgent news requesting people in Cho Ga area, Vinh Thanh commune to evacuate immediately because tonight the dam will be released at a water level of 3.5m…” are all fabricated information, causing confusion and confusion among the public; seriously affecting the work of natural disaster prevention, as well as the activities of forces responding to and overcoming the consequences of floods.

Provincial police recommend that people in downstream areas and flood-affected areas be vigilant and not believe or share sensational, unverified information.

People need to monitor and update information from official sources of state agencies to proactively ensure the safety of life, health and property.

Currently, the police are verifying and handling a number of individuals who spread false information, causing public confusion on social networks.
