
The course, which runs until January 2, 2026, aims to equip students with listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Khmer, while helping students better understand the customs and practices of the Khmer ethnic group in the border area.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Doan Dinh Tranh, Deputy Political Commissar of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command, said that organizing Khmer language training classes is a practical requirement, contributing to improving the qualifications, communication skills and mass mobilization capacity of border guards.

Thereby, strengthening the solidarity, understanding and consolidating the relationship between the Provincial Border Guard and the Khmer ethnic people, as well as the Cambodian border guard force on the opposite side. This is an important basis for the border guard force to perform well the task of managing and protecting the territorial sovereignty and national border security.
