Ms. Luong Thu Trang, resident of Thanh Khe ward, the person in charge of mobilizing the Danang Zero-VND Bread group, said that in recent days she and her members have been busy preparing thousands of medicine packages to send to people in flood-affected areas of the former Phu Yen province (now Dak Lak province) and the former Binh Dinh province (now Gia Lai province).
“Watching TV, we saw the flood rising so quickly that many people were caught off guard. As the water receded slowly, the need for medicine became even more urgent. Many people suffered from fever, sores on their hands and feet, headaches, stomach aches, etc. Therefore, we called on benefactors and our group members to join hands in preparing the necessary medicines,” Trang shared.
Each medicine package prepared by the group includes stomach pain medicine, fever reducer, essential oil, anti-allergy medicine, skin cream, antiseptic solution, eye drops, etc. These are basic, non-prescription medicines used to treat common symptoms after floods.
According to Ms. Trang, during the floods from October to November 2025, the group gave out a total of 13,300 doses of medicine, including: 1,400 doses in the North; 3,500 doses in riverside communes and wards of Da Nang city; 8,400 doses in the two provinces of Phu Yen and Binh Dinh (old).

Ms. Vu Hoang Uyen, a member of the Danang Zero-VND Bread volunteer group, said: “Those who have money contribute money, those who have strength contribute strength. The community’s cooperation at this time is extremely valuable. Thanks to that, in just a few short days, we were able to prepare a significant amount of medicine to promptly deliver to people in flooded areas.”
Along with food, drinking water, and essential household items, medicines are extremely valuable to people in flood-affected areas at this time. The Da Nang Zero-Dong Bread group clearly divided the medicines and carefully packaged them so that people can use them immediately upon receiving them, avoiding confusion or omission.
“We just hope to contribute a little bit to help people stabilize their health and return to normal life soon. Seeing the relieved smiles of people when receiving the medicine, all fatigue disappears,” Ms. Luong Thu Trang added.
