The contest "Searching for Vietnam Blockchain Talents: VietChain Talents 2025" officially announced the list of 51 entries to the semi-finals.
The VietChain Talents competition is co-organized by the Vietnam Blockchain Association, the Government Cipher Committee and 1Matrix Company. After 2 months of launching, the competition received more than 300 ideas from 220 teams, recording 138 official entries.
Of which, topic 1 (Layer 1) accounted for the highest proportion, reaching nearly 35%, topic 3 (Blockchain Tracing) reached 32.5%. The remaining two topics, respectively topic 2 (Crypto Asset Exchange CEX/DEX) reached 21.5% and topic 4 (Blockchain Bridge) recorded 11% of the total number of entries.
Ms. Nguyen Van Hien, Vice President of Vietnam Blockchain Association, Head of the Organizing Committee of VietChain Talents 2025 Competition emphasized that 51 entries were selected for the semi-finals based on 4 criteria, including: Practical value, creativity, sustainability-scalability, and overall quality of the project.
“The competition is not only an academic playground but also an opportunity for young talents to gain practical experience and solve problems posed by society. From there, pioneering factors will be discovered and accompany the national digital transformation process. I believe that playgrounds like VietChain Talents will be an important driving force to promote high-quality human resources in the blockchain industry in particular and the technology industry in general,” said Ms. Hien.
The 51 selected entries will undergo a live presentation with the Jury from July 21 to July 31, to select promising projects to enter the final round.
Ms. Nguyen Van Hien, Vice President of Vietnam Blockchain Association, emphasized that the ideas selected for the semi-finals were based on 4 criteria, including: Practical value, creativity, sustainability-scalability, and overall quality of the project.
Some of the outstanding topics of the semi-finalists include: Digital identification integrated with public services, decentralized online education platform, digital signature, digital asset mortgage lending solution, digital banking applying blockchain combined with real assets (Real World Asset) or carbon credit trading system - a direction that is receiving a lot of attention in the context of the community promoting sustainable development.
The semi-final entries were evaluated and voted by the Jury, the prestigious Expert Council from many leading agencies and units such as the Government Cipher Committee, Vietnam Blockchain Association, 1Matrix Company, Ministry of Science and Technology , Academy of Cryptography, Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), Institute of Cryptography Science and Technology and many large corporations such as Boston Consulting Group, Sotatek Technology JSC, Viettel Cyber Security, AlphaTrue,... and development partners.
VietChain Talents is the blockchain competition with the largest prize scale ever, up to 3.5 billion VND, with the first prize of Layer 1 topic worth 1 billion VND in cash, the remaining 3 topics worth 500 million VND/prize.
Within the framework of the program, Tether will award the "Stablecoin Application Initiative for Sustainable Digital Financial Solutions" prize worth 250 million VND and the opportunity to participate in the mentoring program and connect with Tether's international ecosystem.
The competition attracted the participation of many subjects, from professional engineers, finance-technology experts to students from more than 30 prestigious universities and training organizations./.
