Vietcombank successfully organized the 5th Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Headquarters of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (TSC Vietcombank) has just held the 5th Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term. The Congress is an important milestone, continuing the success of the previous term in the context of Vietnam's socio-economic situation continuing to have many fluctuations.

Attending the Congress, on behalf of Vietcombank Party Committee, there were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Do Viet Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Danh Phuong - Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee in charge of Party work... together with representatives of units, delegates elected from Party Committees of departments and 54 affiliated Party cells, representing the will and aspirations of more than 1,400 Party members of TSC Vietcombank Party Committee.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Member of the Vietcombank Party Committee, Secretary of the TSC Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors emphasized: "The Congress is not only a place to summarize and evaluate, but also a space for intellectual convergence, a place to inspire us to plan strategies together, opening a new development path. The Congress also has a very important task of electing the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Headquarters for the new term. Those who are exemplary in terms of courage, intelligence, prestige and dedication will lead the Party Committee to successfully achieve the goals of the new term".

At the same time, the Congress also elected representatives to attend the Party Congress at higher levels, carrying the voice and aspirations of the TSC Party Committee.

The 5th Congress of TSC Party Committee, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session to elect the Presidium, Secretariat, and Qualification Examination Board. At the official session, 196 delegates listened to reports on the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress for the term 2020-2025; directions and tasks for the term 2025-2030; and the review of the Party Executive Committee for the term 2020-2025. The Congress also discussed and contributed opinions to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party, and the draft documents of the 5th Vietcombank Party Congress.

In the 2020-2025 term, with the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Vietcombank, along with great efforts, the spirit of solidarity, unity, proactive creativity, overcoming difficulties, the TSC Party Committee has proactively led and directed TSC to successfully complete its political tasks and Party building work. In particular, it has successfully implemented the targets and plans set forth in the Resolution of the 4th Headquarters Party Congress.

97% of Party organizations at TSC Party Committee completed their tasks well, far exceeding the target of 80% in the Resolution. 95% of Party members completed their tasks well or better. 416 new Party members were admitted, more than double the set target. In particular, the main indicators on business activities exceeded the plan, contributing to affirming the pioneering position and central role of the Head Office in the Vietcombank system.

With these achievements, TSC Party Committee has been awarded the title of exemplary clean and strong Party Organization by the Central Business Bloc Party Committee for 5 consecutive years; and has been classified by Vietcombank Party Committee as having completed its tasks excellently. This is not only the result of efforts but also a testament to the solidarity, discipline, innovative thinking and pioneering and exemplary spirit of the entire Party Committee.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Member of the Government Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank praised the achievements that the entire TSC Party Committee has achieved in the past term, pointed out the limitations that require the Party Committee's efforts, and at the same time directed the key tasks that the TSC Party Committee needs to pay special attention to in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung emphasized that the TSC Party Committee needs to be "unified - democratic - courageous - innovative - developed", promoting its role as the central and core agency that plays a decisive role in successfully implementing Vietcombank's strategic goals until 2030; strengthening leadership, building a clean and strong Party Committee; making Vietcombank the largest financial group in Vietnam, one of the 200 largest financial groups in the world, one of the 700 largest listed enterprises globally, realizing the development aspiration in the era of national growth.

With the spirit of democratic centralism and high unity, the Congress conducted the election and approved the election results of the Executive Committee of the Vietcombank TSC Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 9 comrades. Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung continued to be elected as Secretary of the TSC Party Committee. The Congress also elected an official delegation to attend the 5th Vietcombank Party Congress, term 2025-2030, consisting of 28 official delegates and 3 alternate delegates.
