Vingroup donates 250 billion to people affected by storms and floods

On September 12, Vingroup Corporation and companies in the ecosystem announced a donation of VND250 billion to people suffering damage caused by super typhoon Yagi and prolonged floods.

With the spirit of "no Vingroup person stands outside the loss and pain of their compatriots", right after Typhoon Yagi and floods swept through several northern provinces, causing severe damage. Vingroup and companies in the ecosystem immediately arranged 250 billion VND for the Emergency Relief Fund for the victims.

Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup Corporation) participates in supporting the construction of "Dream School" in Abaanh 1 village, Tr'hy commune, Tay Giang district, Quang Nam province.

The budget is mobilized from two sources: funds from the Group and its member companies and voluntary contributions from more than 130,000 Vingroup employees across the system. A Vingroup representative said: Depending on the actual situation, the Emergency Relief Fund will be used to rebuild about 2,000 houses for families who lost their homes in the recent storms and floods, supporting from 150 to 300 million VND for each family with a death due to natural disasters. The remaining amount will be used to support families with injured people or those with severe damage to crops and livestock, as well as support cleanup and contribute to the reconstruction of key works and infrastructure serving the people.

Immediately after launching, Thien Tam Fund established a rapid response team, directly dispatched to each locality affected by natural disasters to coordinate the implementation of support plans for people. In particular, families whose houses collapsed, were completely damaged or had members killed (especially the breadwinners of the family) will be given special priority for support. Not only directly implementing, Thien Tam Fund also cooperated with press agencies to spread support and resources to people as soon as possible. In addition to 250 billion VND in emergency support, Vingroup Corporation also called on officers and employees of the entire system to spend their days off with Thien Tam Fund to directly participate in support activities for people affected by natural disasters. In addition to joining the corporation, companies in the Vingroup ecosystem also proactively participated in relief efforts for people from the first days of the storm and flood.
