Honoring 28 typical enterprises for workers in 2025

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the evening of August 15, in Hanoi, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a ceremony to honor 28 typical enterprises for workers in 2025. The event affirmed the responsibility and efforts of enterprises in caring for workers' lives, contributing to sustainable development.

Outstanding businesses for workers are awarded Certificates of Merit and Medals by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers" award is a prestigious political and social event chaired by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in coordination with the State labor management agency (now the Ministry of Home Affairs ) and the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). The program has been continuously organized by the Lao Dong Newspaper since 2014.

This year's award has special significance as it is part of a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Program Steering Committee affirmed: The Award is a social event of special significance. This is an opportunity to recognize and honor businesses that truly consider employees as valuable assets, always pay attention to improving working conditions, taking care of improving living conditions, building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, aiming for sustainable development in integration.

Over the past 11 years, the award's selection criteria have been continuously improved, increasingly affirming its prestige and becoming a measure for businesses to self-reflect, self-correct and self-improve. From 2014 to present, the program has honored 578 businesses, of which 20 units received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.

In particular, there are businesses that have been persistently accompanying the award for many years. Typically, Garment 10 Corporation - a joint stock company honored continuously for 10 years, Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company for 8 years, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (SEV) for 7 consecutive years.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, the fact that more and more new businesses are joining each year shows that the movement to care for workers is spreading strongly in both breadth and depth.

"The Trade Union, union members, and employees always want businesses to grow and entrepreneurs to become more successful. We expect each entrepreneur to clearly see their responsibility to find solutions to better care for their employees, because caring for their employees means caring for the development of their business," emphasized Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang.

Among the 28 enterprises honored this year, there are 22 enterprises in the non-state sector, including units with a large number of workers such as: Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., Luxshare Co., Ltd., Tan De Sports Goods Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, Phong Phu International Joint Stock Company...

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh emphasized: In the process of law-making, the National Assembly always puts workers and businesses at the center. Many important laws have been issued and amended such as the Labor Code, Trade Union Law, Employment Law, Labor Safety and Hygiene Law, Social Insurance Law, Housing Law, etc. At the same time, the National Assembly closely monitors the implementation of policies on wages, insurance, and labor safety.

At the recent 9th Session, the 15th National Assembly passed a Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution. The Resolution continues to affirm the legal status of trade unions - organizations representing and protecting workers' rights. In addition, the Resolution expands the right to participate in policy formulation and supervision, and enhances the role of trade unions in social dialogue, collective bargaining, and labor dispute resolution.

"This is a strong message from the National Assembly, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to the working class, laborers and the close cooperative relationship between the State, trade unions and enterprises," the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, employees are the most valuable asset, the source of human capital, creating strength and core values. The Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly suggested that the business community continue to replicate the model of practical care for employees, take the lead in digital transformation, innovation, link production and business with green economy, circular economy, implement social responsibility and transparent governance.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly wished that the award would continue to spread the spirit of "Enterprises for workers - Workers for enterprises", affirming that workers are a valuable resource for sustainable development of enterprises. This is also the common goal that the National Assembly, the Government, ministries and the whole society are striving to foster for a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
