Mr. Vu Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, delivered a speech at the conference to implement the 2026 plan.

Attending the conference were Mr. Vo Hong Linh, Member of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN); representatives from the localities where the power plant is located; the Board of Directors, along with departments, divisions, workshops, and Party members of the power plant.

Reporting at the conference, Vu Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, said that during the year, the Party Committee focused on leading and directing the implementation of resolutions and directives of the Central Committee and the Group on party building, organizational work, and internal political security.

The unit promptly reorganized, streamlined, and merged the relevant departments into the Technical and Safety Department; and merged the corresponding Party branches, ensuring the efficiency of the organizational structure.

Over the past year, the Party Committee has admitted 19 new members, granted full membership to 14 probationary members; and completed most of the work program's objectives.

Regarding production and business operations, due to some difficulties encountered last year, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant mobilized its power to the grid at a low load level, continuously reducing its output to 240-400MW to prioritize renewable energy sources during midday hours.

At the same time, the overhaul of the S2 unit took longer than planned, affecting its mobilization capacity. Therefore, in 2025, the total electricity output of Vinh Tan 4 and Vinh Tan 4 Expansion Thermal Power Plants will only reach over 8,919 million kWh, equivalent to over 78% of the annual plan.

In addition, the Phuoc Thai 1 solar power plant has produced nearly 71 million kWh of electricity, reaching 98.3% of the plan; the Phuoc Thai 2 and Phuoc Thai 3 solar power plant projects are expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of this year.

Overall, in more than 7 years of operation, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant has achieved a cumulative electricity output of approximately 60 billion kWh, making a significant contribution to ensuring national energy security.

Mr. Vo Hong Linh, Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group, delivered a keynote speech at the Conference.

During the production process, the unit performed well in environmental protection. Emission indicators such as dust, smoke, and wastewater were all lower than the permissible targets in the EIA report. The total volume of fly ash consumed during the year was 480,423 tons, exceeding 206% of the generated fly ash. Economic and technical indicators met the assigned plan.

In 2026, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant aims to produce 11,852 million kWh of electricity. Of this, the output of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant and Vinh Tan 4 Expansion will reach 11,564 million kWh; and the output of Phuoc Thai 1, 2, and 3 Solar Power Plants will be 288 million kWh.

To ensure power generation targets are met, the plant focuses on achieving economic and technical indicators, accelerating major repairs and construction investments; proactively preparing materials and equipment, ensuring fuel supply, and maintaining safe and continuous operation according to the plan assigned by EVN.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Hong Linh, Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), informed that EVN had achieved positive results in the past year, with the Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant making a significant contribution.

Mr. Linh emphasized that although the plant has faced many difficulties, it has made efforts to mobilize resources effectively, meet electricity demand during the dry season, and ensure a high response rate during operation. The plant has implemented effective solutions to protect the environment. The enterprise also contributes significantly to the local budget and creates stable jobs for hundreds of workers with decent incomes.

Mr. Vo Hong Linh noted that in 2026, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant will continue to improve the quality of its professional work, proactively secure raw materials and fuel sources, promote the application of science and technology, and digital transformation to ensure electricity production and transmission according to plan.

On this occasion, 3 collectives and 8 individuals of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant were awarded certificates of merit by EVN for their outstanding achievements in 2025. Mr. Vu Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Plant, was presented with a commemorative medal from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The Party Committee and Board of Directors of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant also awarded many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
