The lighter and thinner the smartband , the easier it is to wear, helping to monitor heart rate, sleep, SpO₂, stress levels, even supporting fall detection or sending SOS... are the utilities that are highly appreciated by the technology community for this product line.

"Three horse" race in the 1 million VND segment

Compact and multi-functional are the recognized advantages of the smartband product line. Technology expert Nguyen Ngoc Duy Luan emphasized: "It is so small and light that users can forget that they are wearing a device. Moreover, the price is less than 1 million but has full utilities." Not only monitoring physical health, smartband also supports mental health , breathing reminders, deep sleep support, and anxiety reduction. Experts consider this smart product line as a "health assistant" and "mobile psychologist".

Xiaomi Band 10, Huawei Band 10 and Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 are all excellent in the price range of around 1 million VND.

Dr. Ngo Tien Thai, a cardiologist at Bach Mai Hospital, said smartbands have become more popular after the Covid-19 pandemic thanks to their low cost. "The most commonly used functions are heart rate, blood pressure and SpO₂. These devices help users raise awareness of their living habits."

Xiaomi and Huawei are the "pioneers" with the low-cost smartband line, now launching the 10th generation. Samsung joined later with the Galaxy Fit line, focusing on the Android ecosystem. The competition between Xiaomi Smart Band 10, Huawei Band 10 and Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 also brings many diverse options for users.

Among them, Xiaomi Smart Band 10 is rated by the technology community as outstanding with a super bright 1.72-inch AMOLED screen (1,500 nits), battery life up to 21 days (basic mode) and Always-On Display support. 9-axis sensor combined with AI to recognize swimming, more than 150 sports modes, integrated into the HyperOS ecosystem to help control smart homes from the wrist.

Huawei Band 10 focuses on design quality with CNC aluminum frame, 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with Always-On. This product uses in-depth monitoring of HRV, stress, SpO₂, menstrual cycle and even mood-tracking.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 is promoted as "the most luxurious smart bracelet in the 1 million price range" with an aluminum frame, 1.6-inch AMOLED screen, 13-day battery, more than 100 exercise modes, O₂ tracking, heart rate, stress, menstrual cycle and snoring detection. Features such as fall detection, SOS, music control, camera and Find My Phone... are also rated as "scoring" with buyers.

Multi-utility is not enough…

Expert Tran Duc The, an electronics consultant, advises that there is no "better" or "worse" product, but what matters is personal use. The two main criteria for selection are ecosystem and age.

In addition to tracking important health metrics, smartbands are also a convenient fashion accessory to wear at all times.

Young people (18-30 years old) who are active, love sports, and focus on social networks should prioritize Xiaomi Band 10. Large screen, high brightness, accurate AI recognition, long battery life (21 days) and more than 150 sports modes help optimize personal data. If the family uses many Xiaomi devices, Band 10 is even more ideal when integrated into HyperOS, convenient for controlling smart homes. Ms. To Thi Tuyet (Da Nang) shared that her husband chose Xiaomi Band for his children to monitor their physical training.

Middle-aged people (30-50 years old) who need to balance work, family, and health should choose Huawei Band 10 as the most reasonable choice. Stress, sleep, and mood are often challenges at this age. Huawei Band 10 responds well thanks to the HRV sensor, in-depth sleep tracking, and mood-tracking capabilities. The CNC aluminum design also brings a luxurious, elegant feel. Mr. Ho Manh Vinh, an IT employee, shared that the emotional tracking feature of Huawei Band 10 helped him adjust in time when work was stressful.

For older people (50+) who need to continuously monitor their health, technology experts suggest buying the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3. At this age, indicators such as O₂, cardiovascular, and sleep play an important role. The Galaxy Fit 3 with 24/7 heart rate sensor, SpO₂, fall detection, snoring, and SOS notification is a safe choice. The Fit 3 not only monitors but also acts as an "emergency assistant", reducing anxiety for both users and their families.

However, commenting on the disadvantages of this product line, engineer Tran Duc The noted: "If you use an Android smartphone, all types are compatible. However, if you use an iPhone, Xiaomi and Huawei provide better support. Galaxy Fit 3 currently does not have a fully supported application on iOS or does not work stably with iPhone."

According to engineer Tran Duc The, don't put too much faith in devices, because they only support and do not replace doctors. "It's good to take advantage of the convenience, but if the features are too annoying (constant reminders, step counting), you can turn them off to maintain balance and avoid falling into 'monitoring device syndrome'."

In short, depending on age, needs and ecosystem, each person should make a suitable choice. “Choose the device that suits you, don’t adapt to the device,” engineer Tran Duc The emphasized.
