
VTC has officially transferred the ownership representation rights of state capital from the Ministry of Science and Technology to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The completion of the transfer is based on Notice No. 293/TB-VPCP dated June 9, 2025, from the Government Office, announcing the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, and Decision No. 2499/QD-TTg dated November 17, 2025, of the Prime Minister approving the policy of transferring the right to represent the state capital ownership in the Multimedia Communications Corporation from the Ministry of Science and Technology to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Simultaneously, the transfer process was carried out in its entirety, including all rights and responsibilities of representing the state capital ownership in VTC Corporation, and based on the minutes of the transfer of the right to represent the state capital ownership in the Multimedia Communications Corporation signed on November 28, 2025, between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism .
The transfer was carried out in strict accordance with the provisions of Government Decree No. 23/2022/ND-CP dated April 5, 2022, and relevant laws, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and absolutely preventing any loss, waste, group interests, or violations of the law.
The transfer of the state capital ownership representative agency is carried out in accordance with the law, ensuring continuity, consistency, and stability in the management and operation of the enterprise.
VTC Multimedia Corporation is a state-owned enterprise with 100% of its charter capital held by the State, headquartered at 67B Ham Long Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi.
Following the completion of the handover process between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Multimedia Communications Corporation (VTC) officially became a subsidiary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, marking a significant milestone in its development journey. This opens up broad opportunities for VTC to further leverage its strengths in digital content, digital infrastructure, and digital services, and to connect more deeply with the fields of culture, information, sports, and tourism.
Throughout its history, VTC has been under the jurisdiction of: the Ministry of Culture and Information, Vietnam Television (VTV), the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and currently the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
