On May 4, the leader of Nha Trang City People's Committee said that the authorities had worked with the owner of the floating raft that tourists had billed for 3.5 million VND/kg of cobra fish. Initially, the inspection team determined that the floating raft was only a seafood farming facility, not a licensed food service business.

The inspection team of Nha Trang City requested the raft owner to stop receiving guests on the raft to serve food and drink when they do not meet the required conditions.

Through investigation, the raft owner admitted that at around 2 p.m. on May 2, the HH canoe took two tourists from Hanoi to his seafood raft for lunch. The customers chose boxfish, squid, and fried rice, and the two sides agreed on the price so the kitchen prepared it. After finishing the meal, the customers paid in full and left the raft.

The raft owner contacted the two tourists to explain and returned 780,000 VND, which the tourists agreed to, and deleted the post on social media.

Social media is abuzz again with an invoice showing "boxfish for 3.5 million VND/kg" in Nha Trang.

Previously, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper reported on social media about a meal bill at a floating raft on Nha Trang Bay with the price of boxfish at 3.5 million VND/kg.

The higher price on the mainland, according to the raft owner, is due to the extra "commission" that the canoe has to pay to take passengers to the floating raft. If the "commission" is not paid, the canoe owner will not take passengers from the mainland.
