On May 13, leaders of the People's Committee of Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City visited and encouraged the family of 20-month-old NBK who was knocked down by a cow. Fortunately, the child's health did not have any serious problems.
According to the mother, the incident happened while the child was playing in front of the house. The child only suffered minor scratches around the mouth and had no major health effects.

The incident occurred at around 8am on May 11, on Tran Van Que Street, Hoa Hiep Nam Ward. At that time, K.’s mother was playing with her child in front of the house. While the mother went inside to get her child’s pants to change, a cow suddenly charged and knocked K. down. The mother quickly ran out to chase away the cows and brought her child into the house for inspection.
Local authorities are currently verifying the owner of the herd of cows to take action. However, the herd of cows has been chased away by locals, making it impossible for authorities to find the owner.
A neighbor of K.'s family said that this herd of cows often appeared in the Tran Van Que street area. The adult cow may have attacked K. to protect the calf behind.
The area where the incident occurred is on the border between Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Khanh Bac ward and Hoa Hiep Nam ward, where cows often roam freely and it is difficult to verify ownership.
