Message suggesting to pay to remove information posted about Hai Thanh A Primary School being criticized for spending nearly 200 million VND from NVS teacher's parent fund

According to the Department of Education and Training of Nghi Son town, as soon as the content posted on Facebook appeared: "After the incident, there was a post reflecting some parents' concerns about the revenue and expenditure at Hai Thanh A Primary School, located in Hai Thanh ward, Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province. A Facebook account with the name "NS" sent a message suggesting a negotiation with accompanying costs", this unit coordinated with the school to verify and clarify".

Accordingly, Mr. NVS is a teacher at Hai Thanh A Primary School. According to Mr. S.'s report dated May 26, 2025, Mr. S. confirmed that he was the one who texted back and forth with the Facebook account NTĐ. with the same content as posted on the Facebook page NTĐ.

Mr. S. explained that, when reading the information posted about Hai Thanh A Primary School on the group "Street Coffee", Mr. S. felt upset because the information tarnished the image of the school where he was working, so Mr. S. went to the Facebook page NTĐ. to ask for the information to be removed.

"After that, he and I texted each other and he told me that if he removed the post, I would pay him a certain amount of money. At first, I thought that there were a lot of scammers and blackmailers on social media, so I wanted to investigate. Personally, no one incited me to pay the poster to remove the post," Mr. S. said in his statement.

The school where the incident caused a stir on social media

According to Mr. S., at first, due to mental panic, he deleted Facebook and reported that Facebook had been hacked for about a month. But when he sobered up and realized what he had done, Mr. S. wrote a report of the incident.

"Mr. S. did this on his own initiative, without being instigated by anyone. Mr. S. guarantees that the above content is true" - Nghi Son Town Department of Education and Training affirmed.

Two days ago, some Facebook accounts posted the income and expenditure of Hai Thanh A Primary School, causing a stir in public opinion. This information then spread rapidly on many forums.

The content reflects the school's parent fund-related revenues and expenditures, including many expenses that parents consider unreasonable and not in accordance with regulations, such as: Spending on buying student desks and chairs for the 2024-2025 school year; drum money; money for installing electrical systems; money for replacing window glass; money for tiling the stage; money for repairing the water pipe system; money for buying water tanks... with a total amount of more than 103 million VND.

In addition, the parent fund also spent up to 81 million VND on expenses such as: 3 million VND for tea for the parent executive committee meeting; 4.8 million VND for the school-wide parent meeting to buy tea; money to support excellent students in exams, up to 7 million VND for bonuses, 18.7 million VND for Tet gifts for teachers and staff...

Regarding this, Ms. Le Thi Quy, Principal of Hai Thanh A Primary School, said she was very surprised by the information posted on social networks. According to Ms. Quy's explanation, the amount of 103 million VND is socialized money, not parent fund money.

Currently, the case has been verified and clarified by the Department of Education and Training of Nghi Son town.
