On the afternoon of July 16, Segyung Hitech Company headquartered in Bac Ninh officially announced the incident in which two Vietnamese girls were taking pictures and were attacked by two Korean women standing outside, grabbing their hair.

Specifically, Mr. Chun Sung Woog, representative of Vietnamese legal entity (Segyung Vina), sent an apology to the parties involved in this incident.

"First of all, Segyung Vina would like to send our most sincere apologies to the Vietnamese Government, the Vietnamese People, the Korean Association and all relevant parties regarding the incident that occurred at the photo studio located in My Dinh, Hanoi on the evening of July 11," a part of the article read.

The company also confirmed that the incident involved a female Korean employee currently working at its headquarters in Korea. During a business trip to Vietnam from July 9 to July 14, this person assaulted two Vietnamese citizens.

The company expressed its seriousness and pledged to make every effort to resolve the matter. The specific measures taken were to fire the Korean employee who had committed the assault; to apologize and compensate the victims in full and in good faith.

Segyung Vina Co., Ltd. was established in December 2023, headquartered in Que Vo Industrial Park (expansion area), Bac Ninh province. The registered charter capital at the time of establishment was more than 84.1 billion VND.

Mr. Chun Sung Woog (born in 1964) has been the General Director and Legal Representative of Segyung Vina Co., Ltd. since June 2022. In the latest business registration, the company still maintains a charter capital of more than 130.6 billion VND.

About Se Gyung Hi Tech Co., Ltd., this company is a component supplier for Samsung Group. According to TheElec, Se Gyung Hi Tech has been a supplier of phone screen protectors since 2019 when Samsung launched its first foldable smartphone called Galaxy Fold.

The company is also the exclusive supplier of protective films to Samsung Display for manufacturing foldable display panels for Chinese smartphone makers.

The optical film business accounts for more than 40% of the Korean company's total annual revenue.

Se Gyung Hi Tech also provides regular smartphone front and back film for Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi and Realme.
