On April 15, Mr. Phan Xuan Phon, Principal of Vinh University Pedagogical Practice High School, said that all students of the school are continuing to be on holiday. During this time, officers of the Investment Management Department, Vinh University are urgently reinforcing and repairing the entire railing system of the classroom floors. The railing area on the side of the 4th floor is still sealed, restricting people from passing through.
According to the Principal of Vinh University Pedagogical Practice High School, the incident of the falling railing that injured three female students on campus was unexpected and unexpected. The school staff, teachers and students all sympathized with the unfortunate students.
“The children are the children of their parents but are students of the school. Therefore, when an unexpected incident happens at school, the school places the highest responsibility on the children,” Mr. Phồn shared.

Recounting the incident, Mr. Phồn said that at around 9:30 a.m. on April 14, he was on duty at the school when he heard the teachers shouting about the accident in the school yard. Immediately, he and the teachers called an ambulance to take the students to the emergency room.
“Since the incident, the school has assigned teachers, principals, and subject teachers to be on duty, encouraging the students and their families to quickly stabilize their health and psychology. The first and most important priority is the students’ lives,” said Mr. Phồn.
Vinh University Pedagogical Practice High School currently has more than 1,700 students in primary, secondary and two 10th grade levels. The school's classrooms and railing system were put into use in 2018.
The school has assigned a Vice Principal to be in charge of facilities, and annually reports to Vinh University to repair and replace damaged facilities so that students have the best educational environment, ensuring safety.

“In the immediate future, we have sent notices to each class, homeroom teachers, and parent-teacher representatives, advising students to stay away from and not lean on the railings in front of classrooms and stairs; and to prohibit pushing and shoving, and going down stairs in rows. After fixing and reviewing the facilities, it is expected that tomorrow (April 16), students will return to school as usual. In particular, two classrooms on the 4th floor will be temporarily moved to the 1st floor,” said Mr. Phồn.
Currently, Nghe An Provincial Police have collected security cameras and taken statements from related witnesses to have an accurate conclusion about the cause of the incident.
As reported, at around 9:30 a.m. on April 14, a railing frame from the 4th floor of building A6, Vinh University Primary, Secondary and High School for Pedagogical Practice, fell into the school yard, hitting 3 female students standing below, injuring all three female students in class 9B of the school.
Of the three injured students, Q. is being monitored for head injuries and is being treated at Nghe An General Hospital. The other two students have less serious injuries and are being treated at Vinh City General Hospital.
