Green embraces Altay
If Xinjiang is the closest place to heaven, then Altay is the center of heaven. There, snowy mountains and adjacent grasslands, lakes and forests coexist, you can admire almost all the magical and romantic beauty of this world . Photo @sukijiangzi
Every trip to Altay is like stepping into a glorious dream, not wanting to wake up. Every dawn, the lake is covered in a magical mist, the smoke spreads across the lake, through the trees, halfway up the mountain, blurring the boundary between the world and heaven. Photo @KUN
No wonder people say: "If you haven't been to Altay, you've missed half of the beauty of Xinjiang!" Regardless of spring, summer, autumn or winter, the beauty of Altay always leaves people amazed. Photo @Eleven Li
September-October, Altay possesses the most splendid autumn colors in all of China. Now is one of the best times to visit Altay, May-June, the grass is green, the lake is blue, there are very few tourists, creating a more peaceful and quiet space. Photo @xiaojihaotian
The sky is clear, the grass is green, and at night, when you look up, you see a sky full of stars. Altay is most beautiful in spring and summer, the temperature is extremely pleasant, summer is truly a paradise to escape the heat! The winding river flows between the snow-capped mountains and dense forests, the dark green foliage, the peaceful lake surface shimmering with waves... Every step is like walking in a fairyland. Blue sea in the heart of Altay
Baisha Lake is a sparkling turquoise gem on the Pamir Plateau, no exaggeration. When the wind blows, white sand grains fly up, skimming across the blue lake and drifting towards the distant snow-capped mountains. Photo @mengxinTravel
If you come to Xinjiang to see the almond blossoms, Baisha Lake is a must-see on that journey. Half is white sand dunes, the other half is a clear blue lake, it is truly a poetic scene turned into reality. Photo @doudouDOUoo
Ulungur Lake is like a cold blue gem embedded in the vast desert, breathtakingly beautiful. Moreover, there is not much tourism development here, so the feeling of visiting is much more comfortable. An Altay filled with Xinjiang delicacies
Altay cuisine is also worth a try, Xinjiang is really famous for its grilled meat and large portions, the toast is also very attractive. Photo @Eleven Li
When talking about Xinjiang's soulful cuisine , it is impossible not to mention grilled lamb skewers. Xinjiang grilled skewers are different in that they use branches of the Hong Liu tree to make the skewers, giving them a unique and unmistakable aroma.
The Hong Lieu grilled meat skewers are not only impressive for their larger size, but also for the way they use Hong Lieu branches that have been trimmed into sticks to grill the meat. Photo @yikouchaorenmian
When coming to Xinjiang, how can you miss a meal of authentic grilled lamb? The whole lamb is brushed with a thin layer of oil and placed on the stove to slowly roast. The outer skin gradually turns golden brown and crispy, transparent drops of fat drip down, and in no time, the fragrant aroma of lamb spreads everywhere. Take a bite, the flavor explodes, there is no characteristic foul smell, no need for too many spices, just the fresh taste of lamb is enough to make people unable to resist! Photo @DORAsu
Xinjiang sesame dumplings are a must-eat when visiting this land. The outside is crispy, the inside is soft and smooth. You can also try the meat dumplings, take a bite and the sauce inside will immediately flow out. Of course, this is just one of hundreds of types of dumplings in Xinjiang. Photo @chunhaoqingru
In the colorful picture of cuisine, fried rice can be said to be a unique art, especially in the vast land of Xinjiang, where the flavor of fried rice is varied. The fried rice is separate but not too dry, with all kinds of toppings, from lamb chops, lamb legs, minced meat, to beef. The technique of making fried rice is also extremely sophisticated, the rice is usually soaked for half an hour to increase its stickiness and softness, the oil used is sesame oil to ensure the characteristic delicious flavor. The oil is boiling, the onions are fried until fragrant before the meat is added. And then there is the process of stir-frying over and over again, hundreds of times, finally the addition of diced carrots and cumin powder. Each piece of rice, each piece of meat, brings ultimate satisfaction. Photo @chunhaoqingru
Baked buns are a traditional dish, the filling is usually made from minced lamb leg meat and lamb fat, stuffed into a crispy golden bun skin. The bun skin is thick in the middle and thin on the sides, when broken open, the sweet lamb meat and fat will overflow, the sauce will soak into each layer of the bun skin, so delicious that even if it is hot enough to burn your tongue, you still can't bear to let go!
