Accordingly, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and Training , on May 24, 2025, Gia Dinh University coordinated with the Little Rose Charity Fund to organize an International Scientific Conference with the theme "Dignity, Psychological Strength and Comprehensive Development of Students". The event attracted more than 200 experts, scholars, researchers, and prestigious educational managers from 15 domestic and international units.

In the context of AI (artificial intelligence) and social networks strongly impacting life, experts at the conference emphasized the psychological pressures that students are suffering. This forum is also an opportunity for participants to update information, share experiences and transform knowledge into action, aiming to equip the young generation with a strong source of mental strength, with outstanding adaptability.

The highlight of the event was the participation and sharing of leading professors from the United States (US), including: Prof. Kevin L. Ladd - Indiana University South Bend; Prof. Daniel N. McIntosh - Emeritus University of Denver; Prof. Le Xuan Hy - Seattle University. This shows the international stature and outstanding professional quality that the conference brings.

According to research by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), about 8% - 29% of adolescents in Vietnam suffer from mental health problems. It is estimated that at least 3 million adolescents are facing psychological problems. What is more worrying is that only about 20% of them receive medical support, causing a shortage of human resources to care for mental health for this sensitive group.
Based on practical needs and predictions about mental health among today's youth, Gia Dinh University has opened a Psychology major. This is a necessary step to meet the trend of personalization and the increasing demand for understanding and empathy in communication and work.
