Similarly, DOJI Group listed SJC gold at 90 million VND/tael for buying and 92.3 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 400,000 VND for both buying and selling compared to yesterday. The difference between buying and selling prices is 2.3 million VND.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4am today, Vietnam time, was 2,938.34 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.41% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,610 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 90.7 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 1.6 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Investors around the world are increasingly turning to gold to protect their portfolios, cementing its reputation as a safe investment in times of economic uncertainty. This is reflected in the surge in prices.
Gold prices have rallied strongly over the past year without any significant correction, clearly showing that investors are concerned about the global economy, which is currently experiencing wars, geopolitical tensions and inflationary pressures.
Adding to ongoing concerns, Donald Trump’s trade policies, designed to narrow the trade gap with trading partners, continue to add to uncertainty in global markets, supporting the gold rally.
Against this backdrop, gold prices have continued to hit records, with the latest peak of $2,947 (spot) reached in the previous trading session, bringing the YTD gain to 12.24%. In less than two months of the current calendar year, prices have recorded 13 record highs, indicating that investors are rapidly shifting away from risky assets such as stocks and towards safer investments such as gold.
Meanwhile, Trump's trade policies have not only upset market sentiment but also influenced the US Federal Reserve's decision to pause its interest rate cutting cycle in January, as policymakers decided to wait to assess how Trump's policies would affect the economy.
Minutes of the Federal Reserve's January meeting released Wednesday showed policymakers agreed they needed to see further declines in inflation before further lowering interest rates and expressed concern about the impact of President Donald Trump's tariffs on doing so.
The sustained rally has also prompted analysts to raise their price forecasts for the yellow metal, as previous targets were surpassed earlier than expected. Goldman Sachs recently raised its gold price forecast by the end of 2025 to $3,100 an ounce, up from $2,890 previously.
Similarly, UBS revised its 12-month gold price forecast to $3,000 an ounce, up from $2,850, while Citi set a new short-term gold price target of $3,000 an ounce, with its average forecast for this year now at $2,900, up from $2,800 previously.
