The first Wuling HongGuang Mini EV is manufactured in Vietnam

The first Wuling HongGuang MiniEV electric car assembled in Vietnam was officially launched on May 24, 2023 at TMT Motors' electric vehicle factory ( Hung Yen ). This is an important milestone for TMT Motors in its journey of manufacturing, assembling and exclusively distributing products of the GM-SAIC-Wuling joint venture in the Vietnamese market.

Specifically, the first product is a pink Wuling HongGuang MiniEV with a white roof. The design is similar to the Wuling HongGuang MiniEV model sold in China, Indonesia, etc. The exterior of this car model stands out with a recessed LED Wuling logo that can light up, along with a strip of daytime running lights.

Currently, TMT Motors has not announced detailed information about the versions and equipment on the Wuling HongGuang MiniEV assembled and distributed by this unit. It is likely that this model will not be too different from other markets.

In China as well as some markets in Southeast Asia, Wuling Hongguang MiniEV includes Standard, Makaron, Gameboy and Convertible versions. The car has a 3-door, 4-seat design with a length of 2,917 mm, width of 1,493 mm, height of 1,621 mm, wheelbase of 1,940 mm and weight of 665 kg, very suitable for urban travel needs.

Wuling Hongguang MiniEV uses an electric motor, comes with a 13.9 kWh battery pack with a capacity of 27 horsepower, and a maximum torque of 85 Nm. This engine helps the car move at a maximum speed of 100 km/h and a maximum distance of 170 km. The battery charging time is about 9 hours.

The selling price of this small electric car has not been announced by TMT Motors. In China as well as some markets in Southeast Asia, the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV has a converted price of only about 114 - 346 million VND. However, many people expect that with domestic assembly, the Wuling Hongguang MiniEV will have the cheapest selling price in the Vietnamese automobile market.
