Binh Dinh and Binh Phu communes elect key personnel after merger

At the first session of the People's Council of Binh Dinh commune, term I (2021 - 2026), with 100% of delegates present voting in agreement, Mr. Nguyen Cong Danh - Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Dinh commune was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of the commune.

Also with 100% of votes in agreement, Ms. Phan Thi Hiep - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Dinh commune was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune for the 2021 - 2026 term.

For Binh Phu commune, the 15th session of the 13th People's Council (term 2021 - 2026) elected Mr. Pham Hong Viet - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Phu commune to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of the commune and Mr. Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune for the term 2021 - 2026, with 100% of the votes in favor.

In addition, the People's Council meetings of the communes also elected the positions of Vice Chairman of the People's Council, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune; Head and Deputy Head of the People's Council Committees and members of the People's Committee of the commune to complete the new apparatus so that it can soon operate effectively and efficiently.

Previously, implementing Resolution 1241 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, from January 1, 2025, Binh Dinh commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Binh Dinh Bac and Binh Dinh Nam communes. Binh Phu commune (new) was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Binh Chanh commune into Binh Phu commune.

Thus, from the beginning of 2025, Thang Binh will only have 20 commune-level administrative units including 19 communes and 1 town.
