Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Van Cu, Principal of Cuu Long University, said that in 2025, the school will set the minimum admission score for health majors, including medicine, equal to the input quality assurance threshold that the Ministry of Education and Training has just announced for the method of considering high school graduation exam scores.
Specifically, the minimum scores for the health majors that the school is training are as follows: medicine, dentistry: 20.5; pharmacy, traditional medicine: 19; medical imaging technology, medical testing technology, rehabilitation technology, midwifery, nursing: 17.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Van Cu, the expected benchmark scores for these majors will be equal to the minimum admission score. Thus, candidates who score 20.5 points have a chance to be admitted to the medical major at the school.
Van Lang University has just announced the minimum admission score for the health sector. Specifically, 20.5 points for medical and dental majors; 19 points for pharmacy; 17 points for nursing and medical laboratory technology.
"This year, the B00 combination score (math, chemistry, biology) is low, so the Ministry's input quality assurance threshold and the school's floor score have both decreased. It is predicted that the benchmark score will also decrease compared to 2024 and be equivalent to this year's floor score. Therefore, candidates who score 20.5 points or more have a chance to be admitted to the school's medical major. Similar to other health majors, candidates with a score equal to the floor score have a chance to pass," informed Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Vice Principal of Van Lang University.
At Nguyen Tat Thanh University, before the Ministry's regulations on input quality assurance, the announcement of general medicine and dentistry was 22, traditional medicine and pharmacy was 21, nursing, medical testing techniques, and rehabilitation techniques was 19.
However, the school currently announces the official floor scores as follows: general medicine and dentistry: 20.5; traditional medicine and pharmacy: 19; nursing, medical testing techniques, rehabilitation techniques: 17.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Nga, in charge of communications at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, commented: "The school expects the benchmark score for general medicine to be slightly higher than the floor score, while the remaining majors will be equivalent to the floor score."
Similarly, Hong Bang International University also announced the minimum admission score for medicine and dentistry as 20.5; pharmacy as 19; nursing, midwifery, rehabilitation technology, medical testing technology, medical imaging technology and public health as 17. It is known that in 2024, the standard scores for these majors of the school will be equal to the minimum score.
