Binh Duong commune strives to achieve advanced new rural standards

(GLO)- On August 16, Binh Duong Commune Party Committee held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030. Comrade Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee attended and directed the Congress.

Binh Duong commune was established on the basis of merging the natural area and population of My Loi commune, My Phong commune and Binh Duong town, with more than 27 thousand people.

At the Congress, delegates focused on evaluating the results achieved in the past term and setting out directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the Congress, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh suggested: In the new term, the Commune Party Committee continues to effectively implement solutions to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations; build a clean and strong Party Committee; and ensure national defense and security.

Regarding economic development, Binh Duong commune needs to develop processing and manufacturing industries based on raw material areas from agricultural and forestry products; promote investment attraction to develop Binh Duong Industrial Cluster, energy projects on Tra O lagoon; develop agriculture in a diversified, specialized, and sustainable direction associated with smart, green, and circular agriculture. Strive to achieve advanced new rural standards by 2030, and aim to become a ward by 2035.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Inspection Committee, Chairman, Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Phan Xuan Nam was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Commune Party Committee.
