Chau Que Commune proactively evacuated nearly 100 households from the danger zone.

Faced with the complex developments of storm No. 3, Chau Que commune has urgently and proactively implemented response plans, focusing on evacuating households from areas at risk of landslides and flash floods. On the night of July 21, 98 households were brought to safety.

Accordingly, to be ready to respond to the circulation of storm No. 3 (storm Wipha), on July 21, 2025, the People's Committee and the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Search and Rescue of Chau Que commune took drastic actions, mobilizing all forces to protect the safety of people's lives and property.

Under the direct direction of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the People's Committee of the commune, the commune cadres, members of the Command Committee, the militia and self-defense force directly went to 17/17 villages to conduct propaganda, mobilize and support households in the danger warning areas to evacuate urgently with the motto "human life is above all".

The entire Chau Que commune has 154 households located in areas at high risk of landslides on positive and negative slopes along streams and flooding. According to a quick report from the commune People's Committee, as of 10 p.m. on July 21, the forces had successfully mobilized and supported the evacuation of 98/154 households to safety, mainly to temporarily stay at relatives' houses.

The remaining 56 households are currently located in lower risk areas and are being closely monitored by local authorities, with plans for evacuation ready in case the situation worsens.

That very night, local forces came to propagate and mobilize households to evacuate to safety.

In addition to the evacuation, Chau Que commune also implemented other preventive measures, such as: placing 11 warning signs at key traffic points, areas at high risk of landslides and flooding points to prevent people and vehicles from passing through; maintaining a 24/7 duty regime, ensuring smooth communication; forces in villages proactively went to each house, collected phone numbers, Zalo, asked households to sign a commitment to evacuate, demonstrating determination and a high sense of responsibility in disaster prevention work.
