Ms. Nong Thi Kim Oanh, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Deputy Chief of the Office of Coordination for New-style Rural Construction in Trang Dinh district, said: To support Chi Lang commune in implementing the criteria of a model new-style rural commune, the specialized department has coordinated with the People's Committee of the commune to review and evaluate each specific indicator and criterion. Thereby, a plan is developed to implement the criteria that have not been achieved.

Through review, at the beginning of 2024, Chi Lang commune has not met any criteria for a model new-style rural commune. Some criteria of the model new-style rural commune that the commune still lacks are related to traffic infrastructure; smart village model; landscape of village roads and alleys... However, the State's resources to support the construction of a model new-style rural commune are still limited. Therefore, mobilizing resources from the people plays an important role.

Ms. Chu Thi Xuyen, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Lang Commune, said: In previous years, when building a new-style rural commune and an advanced new-style rural commune, people in the commune actively joined hands and contributed to implementing the criteria. To complete the criteria of a model new-style rural commune, in 2024, the People's Committee of the commune continued to coordinate with relevant units to promote propaganda and mobilize people to better understand the construction of a model commune. Specifically, in 2024, the People's Committee of the commune coordinated with relevant agencies to propagate the construction of a model new-style rural commune in 17 sessions with nearly 3,000 participants; propagated on the commune's loudspeaker system in 22 sessions with over 7,000 listeners... In addition, the People's Committee of the commune coordinated to propagate through conferences and activities from the commune to the village; propagated on the social network system; propagated to children in the area who are working far away...

Through propaganda and mobilization in many forms, people understand and actively join hands to implement the targets and criteria of a model new-style rural commune. Mr. Hoang Van Ich, Khuoi Sao village, Chi Lang commune said: After being propagated, mobilized, and discussed the construction of bridges and roads in the village, my family contributed 38 million VND to join hands to build the works. From the resources contributed by my family and some other households, the bridge and roads were quickly built and have now been put into use, not only creating favorable conditions for people's daily life and production development but also contributing to the implementation of the targets and criteria of a model new-style rural commune.

Along with Mr. Ich's family, a number of other households in Khuoi Sao village also actively joined hands to implement the criteria of a model new-style rural commune. Mr. Vi Minh Long, Party Cell Secretary and Head of Khuoi Sao village, said: In addition to joining hands to build bridges and roads, in 2024, villagers will also contribute about 15 million VND to install security cameras and build flag roads, thereby contributing to the completion of the "smart village" criteria in building a model new-style rural commune.

Not only Khuoi Sao village, people from other villages in Chi Lang commune also actively join hands and contribute to implementing the criteria of a model new-style rural commune. Specifically, in 2024, the total resources to build a model new-style rural commune in Chi Lang commune will be nearly 1.7 billion VND; of which, people will contribute nearly 1.1 billion VND to build bridges, roads, green tree-lined roads, flag roads, and install security cameras... Thereby, contributing to helping Chi Lang commune basically complete 4/4 criteria of a model new-style rural commune in 2024.

With the joint efforts of the people, the implementation of the construction of a model new rural commune in 2024 in Chi Lang commune has achieved clear results. Thereby, contributing to the successful implementation of the common goals and tasks of building new rural areas in Trang Dinh district.
