Cho Gao Commune has 596 people of legal age receiving social pension benefits.

(ABO) Implementing Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP dated June 30, 2025 of the Government detailing and guiding a number of articles of the Law on Social Insurance on social pension benefits, on July 17, the People's Committee of Cho Gao commune, Dong Thap province deployed Decree 176 of the Government to 18 Hamlet Chiefs and Hamlet Party Cell Secretaries of Cho Gao commune.

According to Decree 176/2025/ND-CP, beneficiaries of social pension benefits include: People aged 75 and over who have not yet received a monthly pension or social insurance benefit; people aged 70 to under 75 who are poor or near-poor and do not receive a monthly pension or social insurance benefit (except for those who are receiving a pension or benefit of less than VND 500,000/month).

Speaking at the conference, comrade Huynh Thi Ngoc Han, Vice Chairman of Cho Gao Commune People's Committee, directed the Department of Culture and Society , the agency directly advising the Commune People's Committee, to coordinate with the leaders of 18 hamlets and neighborhoods to deploy, review closely, fully, and correctly, and resolve records quickly in accordance with regulations for the elderly.

According to statistics, Cho Gao commune has 596 elderly people of the prescribed age receiving social pension benefits. Effective implementation of the Decree not only improves material life, but also contributes to improving spiritual quality, so that the elderly can live happily and healthily.
