Việt NamViệt Nam12/01/2024

Established in 2004, at that time, the essential infrastructure of Dai Hung commune (Dai Loc district) was almost non-existent, and people's lives were still difficult and deprived. After 20 years of rising from a difficult land, Dai Hung has strongly transformed itself, reaching the new rural destination and is aiming for a higher goal.

Hard start

With their residence threatened by riverbank erosion, Ms. Vo Thi Bay's family was relocated to the center of Mau Lam village in 2001. "In our new home, our lives were still lacking, making a living was very difficult due to muddy roads and unstable agricultural production.

Now it's different, the villagers have food and savings, their spiritual life has improved significantly" - Mrs. Bay shared. Mrs. Bay also did not expect that her house is located opposite the administrative center of Dai Hung commune, after being separated from Dai Lanh commune in 2004.

When Dai Hung commune was first established, it had almost nothing, from infrastructure such as electricity, roads, schools, stations. The agency headquarters had to reuse Dai Lanh commune's or temporarily borrow the village cultural activity house to operate and work. People who wanted to use commercial services or go to the market to meet their essential needs had to go to Ha Tan (Dai Lanh commune center).

There are villages that are isolated and separated by the Kon River, making travel even more difficult during the rainy and stormy season. Many households worry about food and clothing all year round but still lack everything, their houses are makeshift and dilapidated...

Strong transformation

The headquarters of Dai Hung Agricultural Cooperative is bustling with a factory that processes protective workwear uniforms, which the unit has linked with partners to create jobs for the people.

The cooperative leader said that the garment factory has 40 direct production workers who are local people and a few from Dai Son and Dai Lanh communes. The average income per person is more than 5 million VND/month.

In addition to the garment factory, the main activity of this cooperative (with 191 member households) is still the "midwife" linking the value chain of rice seed production (62ha) and corn seed (12ha) between businesses and farmers. The service activities bring practical benefits, contributing to increasing crop productivity and improving people's income.
